Mission

Statement

“Lord of Life Lutheran Church exists to be the voice and heart of our King, Jesus Christ, so that by His grace, He may gather people for Himself from the Friendswood area, as well as from the world.”

In order to achieve this mission, we have the following 10 goals…

A - Goals concerning the members at Lord of Life so that, by the grace of Jesus Christ, they may be His voice and heart.

1 - That they have a consistent attendance in worship services where, through the Word and Sacrament, the Lord will strengthen their relationship with Him;

2 - That they have a consistent attendance in Bible classes/Sunday School where they can grow in their knowledge of the Word;

3 - That they understand and enjoy reading God’s Word through which the Lord strengthens their faith in Him;

4 - That they live in daily repentance and faith;

B - Goals for how the voice and heart of Jesus will be displayed by our members so that Christ can grow His kingdom by His grace.

5 - That they each take part in the mission of Christ’s Church by the sacrificial giving of their time, talents and treasures;

6 - That they each seek/recognize opportunities to present and defend the teachings of God’s Word;

7 - That they reach out to the community with the ultimate purpose being evangelism;

8 - That they maintain a school that trains children to know the Lord and love His truth;

9 - They they encourage the children of the congregation to love the Lord and consider the teaching/preaching ministry;

10 - That through a growing relationship with their fellow members, they will encourage each other in the carrying out of goals 1-9.
